CRFCA Convention - Konia

The Association of Christian Revival Fellowship Churches is having its inaugural convention December 29-January 6, 2007, in Konia, Lofa County, Liberia.

Rev. Dennis Aggrey is mission director for the association which expects 500 messengers for the five day event.

Besides Rev. Aggrey, speakers at the event include Mr. Al Schukoske of Liberty Baptist Church (SBC) in Birmingham, AL, and Dr. Lincoln Brownell, former president of Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary in Monrovia.

The association, now sixteen churches in Liberia, is growing rapidly, having planted ten churches in 2007 alone. The great need is leadership training.

The association is Baptist in theology and indigenous in its worship.

Through Dennis Aggrey, the association partners with a number of churches and ministries in the United States including Liberty Baptist (SBC) Church in Birmingham, AL; Samaritan's Purse in Boone, NC; Living Water Carolinas in Greenville, SC; Brookwood Church in Simpsonville, SC; Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church (SBC) in Laurens, SC; and Amis Chapel Baptist Church in Oxford, NC, and a number of other ministries and churches.

Lofa: Bomi Hills CRFC

In November 2007, CRF hosted Living Water Carolinas and Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church from Laurens, SC, Konia, Lofa County.

This is the Christian Revival Fellowship Church in Bomi Hills, Lofa County, Liberia, West Africa. I preached here two times. The building stands out because it has a metal roof and is newly painted and clean. Very few buildings look this good this far north.

Here is a picture of David Humphries preaching in the church. He is country director with his wife, Judy, for Living Water Carolinas. They were leaders on our team.

Here is the painting of Jesus inside the church and a close up.

Lofa Road mud hole

On the Lofa Road returning to Monrovia on Nov 12, 2007, the Chestnut Ridge/Water of Life team came upon this sight somewhere in Lofa County. This is a heavy transport truck stuck in a mud hole. It is likely from Guinea bringing things to sell in Monrovia. When we got there midday, the truck had been stuck since 5pm the day before.

I have great video of this scene and our trucks hitting the mud to show you if I can overcome this slow dial-up connection somehow.

Mount Wolongizi in Konia

This is the view of Mount Wolongizi from the front of the Konia Christian Revival Fellowship Church in Lofa County, Liberia, at 6:00am, just before morning prayer begins. It is just becoming light.
